Caribou Creative is a comprehensive design studio based in Courtenay, British Columbia.
Established in 2010 by Laura Prpich, the studio collaborates with individuals and businesses to transform ideas into reality through strategic communication and intentional design.
"After a decade of working with some of Canada’s top agencies, I was inspired to channel my experiences into building my own business. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, I took a year off to surf around the world before launching my studio in downtown Victoria. Today, I call the Comox Valley home.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve cultivated meaningful relationships, assembled strategic teams, and mastered the art of running a successful company. My passion for design remains boundless, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing businesses thrive as a result of thoughtful, impactful design—it makes me ridiculously happy."

2000 - 2009
Worked at various agencies in several facets of design across Western Canada.
2010 - 2014
Moved to Victoria and started Caribou Creative from my Chinatown live/work space.
2014 - PRESENT
Moved to Comox Valley and continue to work with small businesses across the globe.

OFFICIAL BIO
Laura Prpich is a graphic designer with over 25 years of experience and is living and working on Vancouver Island, Canada. She founded Caribou Creative in 2010 and works predominately with independent businesses across the globe that have a vested interest in sustainability or creating a greener solution for their brand. Laura's work at Caribou has been recognized internationally, including features in How Magazine, Hello Canada, Apartment Therapy, and The Dieline. She's also a recurring judge for the Juno Awards.
Her favourite pastimes include scrounging around dirty record shops, getting humbled by the ocean's waves, and spending time in her hometown of Bladworth, Saskatchewan, sipping whiskey with the locals and listening to tales about 'the good life'.
