The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market Association is a not-for-profit society that has been bringing local food to local folks since 1992. Over the last twenty-five plus years, they have grown from a seasonal Saturday market to a year-round Saturday market with over one hundred vendors selling a wide array of products that are grown, made, baked, raised, or wild harvested within the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional District. The association reached out to me to rebrand and it was imperative that all vendors felt represented, that the Comox Valley was showcased, and that the brand felt all-inclusive - which is why, after a quater century the old logo no longer felt warranted. With 80% of the farmers representing the market being female - it was time for some big changes.
