Foundation is located in the Comox Valley and offers contemporary education programs focused on professional and salon development training. Founded by Megan Griffiths & Courtenay Girard, they started the academy as a direct need for professional training on Vancouver Island.

Together, we worked to create a brand image utilizing Swiss principles of clean, contemporary, and minimal design aesthetic. Since launching in 2015, Foundation's workshops have been continually sold out and their take-home illustration tutorial kits a huge success. In the fall of 2017, they opened a brick and mortar in downtown Courtenay and since then Foundation has changed the way Vancouver Island views formal hair education.
